Island Inn

Island Inn is 5 star all the way! After Ian hit last year the cottage we rented was completely destroyed. We did not think we would be visiting Sanibel for a few years. However, I was on line and found Island Inn's web that said it was open so I took a look and glad I did. Their web page shows in detail what to expect if you stay there and it is GREAT! Rooms were perfect for us and most important extremely clean! They also offer housekeeping everyday if you wish. The staff was the Best! they bent over backwards to make sure our stay was the best. We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival, so much so we booked 2024 before we headed back to North Carolina! Still a great deal of rebuild to be done on the island but if you are looking for a Great place to stay Island Inn is it! We also had a screened in porch! fantastic view of the Gulf and about a 30 second walk to the beach! You won't be disappointed if you stay here. Don't want to rush my life away but can't wait for next years stay! Tony OBX NC

Amazing in every way!! Island Inn has been beautifully renovated! The staff is very attentive. A special shoutout to John who worked in the record heat putting up and taking down umbrellas. Every request made to the staff was taken care of ASAP. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!!!! Everything was so easy to do, from making reservations, calling with questions, having phone calls returned, checking in and checking out. Thank you Island Inn, local businesses and restaurants, and ALL “islanders” native or guest for such a great experience!

Can’t say enough good things!! Everything about this place was more comfortable and better than expected. Private beach access with free umbrellas and chairs. Totally worth every penny. Wonderful, comfortable place to stay. Bonus: We had our 9 year old with us and she loved the big comfortable air mattress in the sofa. Plus smart TVs with tubi! We loved it!

We had a wonderful time during our 2- night stay at the Island Inn. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Glory and Ken were very helpful in answering questions in the weeks/days leading up to our stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a pod of dolphins swimming by that we spotted from our room in the Mathews building. The view from our room was absolutely spectacular. The room was clean, spacious, and had a full kitchen. We loved the large, screened-in balcony as well....although those pesky no see-ums still managed to get us during the morning and evening hours. They can by pretty brutal at times if you have exposed skin. The beach was gorgeous and full of seashells. Our 2 and 4 year old kids enjoyed finding and painting shells. They also loved playing in the sand. We enjoyed walking the shoreline during low tide to find the best shells. The water, calm, and great for swimming. We can't wait to return to the Island Inn for future family vacations! The damage to Sanibel/Captiva was significant but the history and charm remains. With time, I'm confident that this piece of paradise will be fully restored and we will be back to make more memories! Adam & Jen Novak Family
